Post Question about Metformin...

I am fighting to get Metformin to help with my PCOS. We are currently trying for our second baby, and I think my Gynae would possibly prescribe Metformin to help me conceive.

However my concern is, that if we are blessed with another child that after this my Gynae would just put me back on Dianette to control the PCOS. Is Metformin only prescribed for infertility or should I be also aiming to get it prescribed as a control?

Thanks for any info!

Kangy

Hi Kangy

I have been on met for two months in the hope of it helping me to conceive. At the time of prescribing it, my gyn told me that it is something I could continue taking after any pregnancy as a means of controlling my pcos symptoms (lack of periods and acne). Good to hear - but still waiting for it to start to take effect! Anway, hope this is helpful to you.
xx
