My Mood: Points: 1,936.85 Bank: 13,502.75 Total Points: 15,439.60 | Question About Ovulation Kits Okay....one of our local pharmacies got bought out by Rite Aid and all their store brand stuff went on serious clearance. I picked up three seven day ovulation kits for under $5 a package. Will I ever have any use for these now? They say right in the directions that they aren't much use if you have PCOS....and I'm guessing that when (or if) I go on Clomid they are still not going to be majorly useful because the med will probably mess up the test's ability to read the LTH? I'm just wondering if I should put these away in a drawer and save them or if I should just give them to a friend who might be able to use them, if they aren't going to do anything for me. TIA!!

It just depends..They worked great for me..I had negatives (no 2nd line) then got positive 3 days in a row the month I feel pregnant with my twins..(o on CD21)
I just you just have to use them and see how that 2nd line appears over the testing period...if you continuely have a 2nd line as dark or darker than the control, then you know they arent working...But if you have negative results then get that darker 2nd line, it should be working fine for you!
HTH!

I have never used the kind of kits you are taling about. My Dr said he prefers just charting BBT, and I have been doing that for about 2 months. I also use the saliva monitor, as it is re-usable. Good luck.

HTH and gl!

My Mood: Points: 562.99 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 562.99 | My OB told me to use them 12days after my period. Of coarse they are "forced" periods. I use them for two weeks at a time if i don't ovulate and don't have a period after 32days then it is off the the pill again. I think it is best to work with your doctor. I know my LH levels are not to high because she checked them. You could also do the BBT with it. Talk with your doc!! |
