hey ladies,
i have a job interview next week for a job that i'm really excited about, working for a company that delivers organic food boxes. part of the job is going to the farm, picking up the produce, making the boxes up and delivering them. i am very strong, working on a farm last summer and weight training for a few years now, but i am nearly 300lbs. i'm worried that at the interview she'll take one look at me and think i'm not physically capable.
what should i do? should i say anything? this is basically my DREAM job and i dont want to get away from me because i'm fat and therefore considered lazy by most of society.
...how do i say that i'm much more in shape than i look without her thinking "Yeah right"
I wouldn't say that, either.
You might want to say something like, "I understand the job requires a lot of legwork and heavy lifting, much like my previous job. That was actually my favorite part..."

I think this sounds great. It shows that you have an understanding of what the job requires and it also allows you to discuss your other job that had similar duties.
I know a lot of job interviewers judge their candidates by their weight even though it has absolutly no relevance. It has happend to me many, many times.
I'm sure you'll do great at your interview. Good luck!
