Default Question about the pill

I'm new, so sorry if this has already been addressed! Anyway, I've been doing some research on pcos for a couple of months, and I seem to have many of the symptoms. I had a blood test to check my hormone levels, and it came back with no significant abnormalities. I'm wondering if this may be affected because I'm on the pill. Does anyone know? Thanks!

I believe so.. mainly because bc pills are hormones... that help to control your homones. A lot of women are put on the pill to help with their cycles, and even to conceive I know sounds weird. So if you are not sexually active right now I would suggest going off the pill waiting for 3 months and get blood work drawn again!

Others might be able to give you more insight and personal experience...

Oh yeah and welcome to Soul Cysters!

HI

Welcome to Soul Cysters

Rcently i have changed doctors and was getting some more blood tests, she was going to retest my hormone levels but then said she was unable to do so and i am on the pill and the hormones levels would not be correct.

The doc said to test the hormone levels you need to be off the pill for a month.

Hope this helps to answer your question. It may be worth to check with your doctor.

Rebecca
