Default Question About Provera

Hi there

I have a question : Last cycle I did ovulated but had no period nor got PG. So this cycle the Dr identified that this week I am ovulating, asked to try for a baby this week, but also told me to take Provera for 7 days starting tomorrow.

I was confused because so far what I know is that when stopping Provera the period will come, so... if this week we were trying for a baby, I take Provera, then stop the Provera, even if I got a fertilization I would loose it because of the period.... so I asked him.

He told me there is no risk at all to take Provera now, and it even may help with implantation.

However I still am confused... can it happen that if I get PG this week and I stop the Provera, everything will be OK ? or is it a rule that Provera will induce period anytime ?

Thanks !!

Hey Tinkerbelle

Same happened to me : I had a very, very light spotting 2 days ago, not red, but kind of pink-brown.

I guess I will know until next week when I stop the Provera and see what happens... I just hope what the doctor told me is true and that stopping it will not induce the period even if by chance I was able to acheive conception !!!!
