I've noticed that a lot of people are taking differnt dosages of Provera. Some people say they take 2 a day for 5 days (I don't know what size the tablets are). Other say they take 1 a day for 10 days. My Rx was for 1 a day for 7 days. Does anyone know why there are so many different dosages?

I don't know why there are so many different dosages but just wanted to tell you that I got my first Rx for Provera it was 10mg daily for 10 days and then the next time the same doctor Rx'd 10mg for 7 days. Go figure.

I just got the Rx for provera from my gyn yesterday. She told me to take 10 mg for 5 days.

I really hope that this is gonna make AF start ...

From what my dr. told me when he put me on Provera is that there is no "magical" dose or days - they have to start somewhere and then adjust from that. I have been on it since last april and am not tolorating it well - so they have been adjusting me on small does for several days to high doeses for for just a couple of days to see what works. My Dr. gave me some natural porgesterone pills to try this month.
