Post Question about Robitussin

I have noticed on the boards that many of you are taking robitussin. why do you take it? Does it help PCOS in any way?

Robitussin doesn't help with PCOS itself.

For some women, Clomid (fertility drug) makes the cervical fluid dry up, which means the sperm can't travel where they need to go, even if the woman's ovulating.

Robitussin thins mucous, including cervical mucous.

So that's why so many of us take it while TTC.

Yes, just regular Robitusson. Make sure the only active ingredient is guaifenesin. Do NOT buy "Robitussin DM or CF" - only the plain kind. You can buy the generic equivalent too, just make sure the only active or primary ingredient is guaifenesin.

I'm not TTC right now, but sometimes I just get dryness "down there"...can the Guaifenesin help with that? And can you take the tablets? (like Mucinex?) I have to use a lot of KY.
