Question question about shaving face?

I have been shaving my face for years now (everyday) I have black hair and is very course none of the removal hair products seem to work. I wont go 1 day without shaving becasue my 5 o clock shadow is so bad. My question is , is there anything I can do to cover up the shadow? I have tried makeup and it works for a couple of hours and thats it. I only shave once a day and dont want to shave anymore than that.
Please any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

Hi Beth

I'm in the same boat as you and have black hair that I have to shave daily. I too struggle with keeping any shadow concealed. I wear make-up every day (I am a girlie-girl and love to get dolled up, plus I work in the corporate environment so it's expected of me) which does help a bit, but I'm yet to find a makeup of the right consistency that provides good coverage but isn't to heavy or oily on my skin. I have used ones that are like theatre makeup, but they just give me terrible acne because they're too heavy on my skin.

At the moment I use a Revlon one and it does the job fairly well, but I feel that the shadows are still visible you know?

I wonder if anyone else can give both of us any better suggestions?

Cheers
K

HI

Me too!! I always always wear Revlon Colour Stay foundation. It was recommended here a few years ago. It stays on really well, so I've found this the best.

Hey gals! Do a search about this!
Me my routine is- I tweeze as much as I can- and then shave using cetaphil face wash....

I wash again, use mary kay 3 in1 mosturizer! (use a mosturizer!! even if you skin is acne prone!!)
Sometimes acne gets worse cause we are too hard on it!!

And then I use a nice thicker, but light weight cream to powder foundation. I have sensitve and acne prone skin... I usually use a new razor every few days.... (at least a double blade)

Hope this helps- do a search there have been tons of posts about shaving before, some have been helpful!!!
