Default Question about spiro dose

I've been taking 100mg for a while and it has not helped enough with the hairloss. I asked my endo today if I could raise the dose to 200mg, but she said that it probably wouldnt help me. I thought spiro was dose dependent?? Was she wrong and should I see another endo!?

That's just one source. You might want to ask your doctor to verify, and then elaborate on why s/he thinks that you won't benefit...

I was on 100mg of spiro for about a year. It helped a bit with the hairloss, but I'm seeing much better results now I've gone up to 200mg.

REALLY!? Im getting a new Dr.! The 100mg works ok, but I want to try 200mg. What kind of results are you seeing with the 200mg as opposed to the 100mg??

100mg definitely helped slow my shedding, though I wasn't seeing any regrowth. Now I'm on 200mg the shedding has reduced even further, and I think I may be seeing some regrowth. I have fine little sprouts of hair coming up, which I don't think I had before. I'm hoping that might be some regrowth. But I've only been on 200mg since the beginning of the year, it may be too early to tell.

Also I found 100mg didn't really do much for my extra face and body hair, but 200mg seems to be helping more with this too. It seems to grow slower and finer than before.
