I recently went to my regular dermatologist because of hair thinning. He ordered tests for PCOS, which I took that day--LH, FSH, DHEA, testosterone, prolactin, telling me I would need to see an endo if they were abnormal. They came back as normal, according to the lab, with the following results:

LH 4.9
FSH 7.7
DHEA 3.2
Prolactine 6.3
Testosterone 43

However, as I read about this, I keep seeing that tests for FSH should be done on day 3 of the cycle. He never said anything about that at all, and as it turns out, the tests were done on day 7 of my cycle. Was this $180 down the drain, with me needing to take the tests again on day 3, or can they be interpreted correctly taken on day 7? I'm planning to actively TTC starting immediately, and I'm 36 years old, so I don't want to rely on these test results if they are not correctly measuring my levels.

hi iam new to this my husband n i av bin ttc 4 2 n a half years with some success in just after i ad my lap n dye but sadly misscarried now my doctor hhas put me on clomid as well as metformin n i have just finished my first course i am on cd 24 and had my progesterone test yesterday n i dont no wot to expect can any one explain it to me please i get my results on thursday thank you
