I have an appointment Monday morning to have a vag u/s. My question is what do I need to expect? Does it hurt? How long does it take? Also my doctor said he wanted to check my endo lining to make sure it isn't too thick but if it was he was gonna do an endo biopsy. How does that feel? I know when I had cervical biopsies they hurt. I am assuming that an endo biopsy would probably hurt more huh? Pleaase help me I am a little scared.

A vaginal ultrasound is painless (assuming he's not a clod at performing them). You'll be in the same position as for a regular gyn exam, but the equipment (camera, whatever), is way smaller than the speculum used for pap smears. You'll have to adjust your knees from one side to the other as the dr checks each ovary. I was able to see mine as it was done (just like someone who is pg). It took about five minutes, maybe ten. I really didn't feel anything while he looked around.
Sorry, no endo experience...

As Cameryn said, the vag u/s doesn't hurt a bit. I've had many of them, and the only time I had any pain at all was when one of my ovaries wasn't cooperating and the tech had to push on my abdomen pretty hard to get it into view. Other than that, they're a piece of cake. I'm sorry, I've never had an endometrial biopsy, so I can't help you there. Hopefully someone will be able to give you some more advice on that one.

The ultrasound won't hurt at all. The wand is a bit intimidating looking though but doesn't hurt at all. (Think large penis-shaped device) Mine was a bit uncomfortable but only because my left ovary is behind my uterus so they really have to push on my abdomen to get a good picture of it.
I've never had a biopsy before though so I can't really comment on that.
