Question Question About Vitamins

HELLO LADIES

I REALLY WANT TO START TAKING A VITAMIN.

I THINK I RECALL MY DOCTOR RECOMMEDING TAKING "WOMENS ONE A DAY"

BUT... MY MOM SAYS I SHOULDNT BECAUSE IT HAS IRON IN IT. SHE SAYS PEOPLE SHOULD NOT TAKE EXTRA IRON BECAUSE IT CAN MESS THEM UP? THE BOTTLE I BROUGHT SAYS IT HAS 18MG. SO ...WHAT DO I DO? I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT VITAMINS AT ALL!

THANKS!

There is such a small amount in the multi vitamin it should not bother you. She is right but it would have to be an iron pill like the one I take for anemia.
If you take it and you don't feel well cut back or better still you could talk with your Dr ...but really you should be fine.

I agree with SoulfulQueen. In a mutlivitamin the amount it relatively small, so you shouldn't have to worry about that.

I don't get enough Iron, so I have to purposely buy multivitamins to prevent anemia. The price I pay for being a vegetarian

But, a vitamin is good, and safe, for people who are not deficient in anything.

Just compare the amount in womans once a day to any other regular multivitamin in the store when you go to buy it.

I took Women's One-a-day for years. A couple of months ago I was in GNC and the technician was asking me about my multi and said it was full of fillers and I should try the Mega by GNC. Bought a bottle. Tried it and I can tell the difference. My energy sky rocketed. I take one in the morning and one in the evening, both with meals.

I agree with the other ladies. Normally we don't get enough iron in our diets. I don't think that smidgen in a multi will hurt you at all. Give it a go for a week and if you feel strange don't take anymore. A couple days of water and you'll be flushed your system clean. Keep us posted!

I agree about One A Day being mostly fillers. Buy a quality vitamin and you'll notice the difference. If you can buy it at the grocery store, chances are it's mostly fillers.

Oh, and typing in all caps is considered shouting. I'm sure you didn't mean it, but it's often looked on as being quite rude.
