Default Question about Weight Watchers

Has anyone tried WW that has IR? I was just wondering how successful the diet was for those who have IR. The one time that I tried WW I didn't lose anything but looking back I think it was because of how I ate. (just eating whatever I wanted within points but not thinking of how that food affected my system) I am seriously thinking of trying it again just making sure I use low GI foods. A good friend of mine lost a bunch of weight and she looks so good and she did it doing WW (she's not PCOS though) but she was just talking about how accountable it made her so I was seriously thinking of giving it another try. I know how frustrating it was for me last time to not lose any weight and I have read here how others have tried WW and not lost any weight either. I would just like to hear from someone who was successful and how they did it.

The answer is yes. You can lose weight using WW and have IR. Because the main idea of WW is being accountable for what you eat, journalling it, eating within moderation and exercise.

You can lose weight on WW and be IR. I've found that if I watch my carbs and get more protein that I'm able to lose weight. And keeping track of your points is easy. And since no food is really off limits you don't feel deprived. So if I want to have a cookie or cup of ice cream I can and I won't feel guilty because it's within my points. I've lost seven pounds so far.

I'm on metformin for my IR and I've lost over 10 pounds on WW in the past month. (My fourth weigh in is tonight) I just make sure to use my points on healthy, low-glycemic foods. I don't keep crap food in my house because honestly, it's not good for my kids or my husband anyway. I plan out meals, keep things simple, and make sure what I put in my body is fuel to live.

So the answer is YES, absolutely. It just takes commitment, planning and determination!
