Question about Zovia

I have been on it only two months so far. I am in my third week of the second pack. I skipped the placebo pills in first pack to get my hormones more balanced. In my first pack....on week three....which is when I got my period on the NuvaRing....I had cramps and spotted for one day. The second pack I am on now....on week three....I am cramping, gastro issues, and more than spotting for days now. So my question is.....when will my hormones settle in and I stop spotting? Has anyone who has or is using Zovia have experiences to share? If so, share away. I am very interested. I have never had spotting on new BCP before. Thanks.

Ok...I am not certain I get what you mean. You skipped taking the inactive pills and went right to the next pack to get your hormones more balanced?

I never actually take the inactive pills I just throw them away everyday.

Your introducing something new to your body and it takes time for your body to get used to it. Unless skipping around is something the Dr told you to do I don't know that I would do that. As far as I know that is a trick some women use so that their periods skips a month and with that break through bleeding is possible.

Some women have break through bleeding when they start a new pill, that could be your issue. Even though you've been on the pill before THIS pill is new to you and your body. Different pills are comprised of different things thus a different st of effects good or bad.

It takes me 3-4 months to really get used to a pill and get over minor side effects...for instance I had night sweats the first two and half months I took Zovia...I'm now on my 4th month and I don't get them anymore.

There are so many different kinds of pills out there....give this one another month or so, see what happens talk to your Dr and see if there is a better pill for you on the market.

Above all everyone is different and every pill is different...
