Okay, my husband and I disagree on a lot of things at times, and this is one of them that I want your Christian opinions on.
I was going through the boards this evening and saw "Bond Girls" names. I happen to love James Bond movies. So I clicked on it and put my name in. It was "Lovey Longtime", and I thought it was hysterical. So I told my husband to look at it and he said that because it was on the internet, it was not a "christian" thing to do. I told him that sorry, sex was Christian - because God created sex for wife and husband - and that it just was between him and I. But he disagrees with me.
Your opinions please. Am I wrong here? This type of conversation came up earlier in the day and is the second go around for my husband and I. It is hard to live in a secular world and to know how EXACTLY people perceive what you say.
I don't know what to think. I would have to see the site myself. It seems harmless to me. Maybe your dh was concerned about you looking up other things. Who knows what goes through the mind of a man!! LOL. I personally don't think looking up your Bond Girl name is unchristian unless it was on a pornography site or something similar. And, at least you know what was in your heart. You are right, sex is not a bad or unchristian thing when between husband and wife. Just my opinion!
As a Christian woman myself, I do NOT believe that looking up your "bond girl name" is a non-Christian thing to do. It's not a pornography site...it's just a random name generator.
Of course it's just my personal opinion, but I find nothing wrong with what you did at all! So I wouldn't worry about it.

I once spoke to my pastor about this very same subject...and well, theres two ways of looking at this:
Enjoying sexuality together as a couple is a beautiful part of the covenant of marriage. We were told that between the two of us, there is no limitation as to how we please each other. UNLESS there are others involved or fantasizing about other men or women out side of your covenant of marriage....which is kind of considered adultery. I believe if you were looking at certain things on the internet between each other, to please each other, theres no harm in it. But then theres another moral issue. Sometimes its not necessarily the woman/man that feels uncomfortable as much as it does their husband/wife or counterpart to that covenant. For some men and women, Internet is a means of bringing out a temtation that maybe he/she doesn't want to bring into the marriage...in which case their thinking should be regarded as respectful to you and in return should be respected because of the choice that they make. So to answer your question, in some cases its alright kept between the covenant of the marriage and not shared with another out side that covenant...however, respecting ones partners feelings and even sometimes their own temptations should be considered in making the final decision.
Hope this helps.
One winged......In many cases women need spiritual guidance just as much as physical guidance with PCOS.....this forum is for whats on our cysters minds ...so we may pray for them or aid them with spiritual growth. While your right, there shouldn't be a debate, I think you may have read the thread wrong, because I don't see a debate on religeon, I see a cyster who is searching for the right answer the way Christ would want her to respond, by fellowshipping with other sisters in Christ.
