I am on 2250mg of Metformin per day, how do I know if it is working? What are some signs? And what is it EXACTLY doing for me? And if anyone got pregnant on it, how long did it take and what else were you on with it? I am on like I said the Metformin and 15mg of actos. What reg everyday meds is everyone on? |

Im on 2000mg of metformin. I was on 1000 just moved up to 2000mg two days ago. And i also take 25mcg of synthroid. I dont think the 1000 worked for me but thats what my gyn gave me. My re said i should always be at 2000. So im hoping the change will get me to ovulate again. | |

i'm on 1500mg of MET which I'm taking on it's own, seems to be helping me lose weight and get my periods back- not sure if I'm O'ing tho....? x

I'm on 2550 mg's and Met has been a lifesaver for me! I lost 97 pounds, AF came back right away, and I conceived (but lost) two children.

I am on Met (2000mg) and I have read that it helps to regulate your insulin levels. If I eat starches or sugary foods, the Met takes effect and keeps my body from producing too much, which would then turn to fat. So, since being on Met, I have lost about 21 lbs. Losing the weight is what made me start Ovulating, not the Met.

I was started on 1500mg of Met and was slowly upped to 2000mg which is where I am at now. After a few months on Met my cycles started to become shorter and more regular and I also lost about 35lbs in the process. Met has also helped me conceive after about 7-8 months or so of being on it. When I got my first period on MET it had been 14 months since my last period on my own.... It took 4 months to get my first period on MET -x-

For those of you here who have lost weight and got their AF back, how long did it take after being on the met to start losing weight and when did the AF come back?? What dose did u notice a difference???

As I already mentioned, I wasn't upped on my dosage at all, I was given 1500mg straight away. I noticed pretty soon after starting Met that my eating habits had changed - for example I found that I could'nt eat as much, If I did stuff my face I'd feel sick. I noticed a little weight loss after the 3rd month- didn't see a real big change in weight, just noticed I was carrying it better, from what people were saying I looked as If I'd lost weight around my face. Then eventually my period arrived....HTH xx

Within the first month of 1500mg of Met i lost about 10 lbs. I started in mid Feb and Af came April 15th. I havent really lost anymore weight, but i also dont eat like i should :o) Im sure if i cut out half the carbs i eat i'd drop alot more weight. I too also noticed i cant eat as much or i would feel yucky. Goodluck to you! Oh , before Af came, i upped myself to 2000mg, then Af came 2 days later
