Hi, please help. DH and I are TTC an have two appointments set up in Nashville. One is with Abby Eblen at the Nashville Fertility Ctr and the other is for me with Esther Eisenberg at Vandy. Since both of these docs specialize in reproductive endo - am I correct that I need to pick one or the other? Dr. Eisenberg won't just see me as my OB will she?

Which one would you choose? Dr. Eblen is in Oct and Dr. Eisenberg in Nov.

I've seen both of those drs and I prefer Dr. Eisenberg to Dr. Eblen. My husband on the other hand liked them right opposite of me. Dr. Eblen was more ready to answer his questions than Dr. Eisnberg. Eisenberg would talk to me more than to him, so if dh asked the question I would be the one to get the answer.

Dr. Eblen seemed to shrug off some of my concerns. While in reality I may have been worried about nothing, at the time it was something to me and I really felt like it needed to be addressed. Dr. Eisenberg would comment on every fear and then explain why it was or was not something for me to be concerned about.

I also prefered vandy to the fertility clinic. I just felt more at ease since it was part of the hospital and there were so many drs in the building. Someone in that building was bound to know the answer to my questions. The fertility clinic was more... homey I guess, more like a regular dr office. Which made me a little uneasy considering what was being done. I'm weird though.

Anyone have an Endo. they recommend near the Murfreesboro, TN area? I was d/x in Sept 08 by my ob/gyn who basically said he was giving me the d/x as result of ruling out other possible causes for my non menstration for the past year (even though he also showed me @ 15 follicles in one of my ovaries as well) -- he has said more than once that I don't fit the profile for PCOS b/c I'm not overweight. Of course, I now know (because of Soulcysters) that there are many women w/ PCOS who are not overweight. This makes me think I need to see an Endo, esp. b/c at my last visit my ob/gyn mentioned my testosterone levels were elevated - though he didn't tell me how high (I plan to get a copy of my bloodwork soon). I am TTC, but my insurance will not pay for anything infertility so I can't go to a RE. I'm figuring I will need to have a good combo of an ob/gyn & Endo. I would appreciate any recommendations for a good Endo near the Murfreesboro, TN area - thanks!!.

I go to Dr. Eisenburg's NP...lucy koroma...she is awesome and I would highly recommend her. She is very aggressive in her treatment which I like. I want a baby yesterday....I don't like all this waiting!
