Question for Nioxin users

Hi there, for those who have had success with Nioxin - did the shedding get worse before getting better? I'm trying to stick with it - but for the past three days since I started, the shedding's been pretty bad - 100 per day , at least.
Please let me know. Thanks so much!

I was not a fan of nioxin, it made my hair feel coarse and straw like..i use a regular voluminizing shampoo like redken that at least makes your hair fuller and then an after hair style product that gives it volume. Mind you, my hair is now extremely thin and i have balding...but the voluminizng shampoos work for me just as well and make my hair at least shiny
I also felt that I lost hair with the nioxin and it can be my imagination. But it is not suppose to help your hair grow. it even says that in their products and their website. it says that most users who reviewed the product said that the nioxin gave them the "appearance" of thicker fuller hair. i think hair products that have ingredients like rogaine can only use the claim that they spur growth. also, my hair color faded on the nioxin. It made my color very dull...but i know a lot of people love the nioxin so it is a personal choice and it may work for you

I really like Nioxin ... it definitely makes my hair feel thicker and look better ...I have seen not as much shed since I have been using it but I have not noticed any new growth, but as said in previous post I do not believe that it is promises new growth ...I say stick with it at least for a month and see how you like it ...

you may see increased shed because the nioxin is supposed to be really good at cleaning the scalp which may be cleaning out the hairs that were barely hanging on.
