Hi all...
I was diagnosed with diabetes II three years ago. I controlled it with diet and exercise, until I became pregnant. After my pregnancy, I was unable to do that on my own. I am now on insulin twice a day.
I need to know....how does the pump work? Is it better than insulin injections? How do you go about your daily routine? Can you hold a toddler against your hip? Can you wrestle with your older children? Can you still make love while the pump is still attached? Does it hurt when you put it in everyday? How is it better than injections?
My doc keeps telling me I should switch to the pump, given my lifestyle. I have become lazy since having my daughter. I do not test like I should, and while I watch what I eat, I still have so many highs and lows. It is like I just cannot get a control on balancing my levels.
I need to hear all the pros and cons, honest stories and experiences of other pump users, and how it has worked for them.
Thanks ahead of time for your comments.
