Hello,

It depends what type of adoption you are looking into. Yes, many can be both lengthy and expensive.

My adoptions through China take on average about 1.5 years total and cost around $15K but both of those things vary also.

If you read the resources sticky above it might help some and if you can be a little more specific on what route you think you want to start looking into (domestic, private, international) that would help us help you too.

I agree w/ Lisa. If we knew what route you were looking at it would be a little easier to answer your questions.

We're also adopting from China but our costs will be a little more b/c we had to use a different agency for a home study than our adoption agency and because of our travel costs as well as including all the copies & mailing fees in our total cost.
