Points: 2,546.38 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,546.38 | Question for those adopting/adopted from China Hi everyone,
I have a question about the new China restrictions, specifically the medical portion. Am I going to be denied because I have PCOS and take a diabetic drug?? I know they've turned down people who take zoloft, have cancer, etc. but I'm not sure how they view pcos/metformin. We fit all their other requirements, this is the only one I'm worried about.
TIA for your help!
Kristin

I don't know how much good it actually did, but I had my endo write me a letter explaining what PCOS is and that I was taking the meds (actos and spiro in my case) to control the symptoms of PCOS, not because I had diabetes or high blood pressure. He included statistics about PCOS like that it affects women of all walks of life, etc. He had that notarized and I authenticated it with the rest of our dossier documents and sent it along with everything else. I don't know if the letter made the difference or not, but no one ever mentioned my meds or PCOS.

My Mood: Points: 24,931.83 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 24,931.83 | PCOS wasn't even mentioned in our paperwork at all. Granted, we got in under the old rules... Do the new rules say specifically that you can't have diabetes? I thought it was cancer & basically anything life-threatening. I haven't looked @ the new rules in detail b/c I knew we didn't meet them for another adoption (pretty sad since we were "good enough" the 1st time!).

- BMI (BMI=weight (kg)/ height2 (m2) )¡Ý 40.
It seems like #7 would include diabetes, do you think? I'm worried about putting metformin on my medical form, even though I don't have diabetes. I mean its not like I have to take metformin to survive. Ugh, this is frustrating.
