Arrow A question for those with Endometriosis

I know this isn't really about PCOS, but I know some of you have endometriosis...So, my question is.....If you have endo, is lack of periods a symptom?? (missing your periods)

Thanks for any responses!!

I think the lack of periods can cause it? I have it and now get my peroid every 2 weeks and i am on bc. I will more than likly have to get it cleaned out soon! YUCK. My endo was able to detect by vag ultrasound. WEll i that was her guess any how. She said the lining was very thick on on part of my right side.

Hello,

I am so sorry that you are diagnosed with endometriosis and I can realte to the pain. I was clinically diagnosed with endometriosis because I have severe pain during A/F. Then when BCP's (Yasmin & Nuvaring) did not help with my pain, my gyno decide to have a look and did a laproscopy (which was changedin the OT and made an incision 2inches) and checked the utereus from outside.. no signs on the utereus and the ovaries. Then he decided to check the cervix and found that I had a stenotic cervix (tightly closed). Also suggested an MRI and detected adenomyosis(internal endometriosis).

So technically I have a stenotic cervix and adenomyosis which makes A/F extremely painful requiring prescription naproxene 650mg every 6hrs. The cycles are also long.. anything between 35-45days with bleeding for 6-8days.

I would suggest you talk to your ob/gyn in details.

Lack of AF is not a symtom. AF actually causes the endometriosis pain.
