Default Question for those that are taking meds

How long are you planning to take your meds? Your entire life?
Doesn't it have any long term effects?

Thank you

currently I am only on metformin 500mg x 2 daily but am seeing an endro in april and will be asking to be put on more meds. (bcp & spiro)

I dont want to stay on meds for the rest of my life, but because my pcos went unknown and untreated for so long and symtpoms are so bad I plan on taking meds to help balance my body out until Ive beaten my pcos issues to a reasonable acceptance then will try to control stuff through diet/fitness/naturalpathic ways

honestly in reguards to your comment "Doesn't it have any long term effects?" I really view it as a lose lose situation in that mindset cause really, long term meds can put you at higher risk of things, but so can long term of not getting pcos and its symptoms under control. so each sufferer needs to weigh their options.

my symptoms are really, really bad and out of control, so I am picking the meds for now. once Ive lost the weight, get my syptoms under control then I hope to be off meds for good!
