Question for those who use soy instead of clomid...
I took soy at 120 mg on cd 5-9 for the first time this month. Very shortly after cd 9 I had a TON of EWCM. I'm still having some on cd 14. Is it common to feel fertile so quickly after taking it? Do you think I'll o soon?
TIA!

I've taken soy twice now and I ov'd two days after taking it last cycle with very little fertile cm (although I did take it late in my cycle) and this time I've ov'd four days after the last dose with 4 days of fertile cm. Typically I have 4-6 days of fertile cm I think that's normal. Keep bd'ing!

So, here's my question. I literally JUST heard of this whole soy things TODAY (it's a slow day at work). So, I googled it, and found this article. http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/soy.html Now, I couple be wrong, but it seems like it's saying the opposite of what all of you have found! What's the deal?
That is for women who consume soy on a daily basis. The way it has helped many of the cyceters here is to take it like you would take clomid, only for 5 days. Please look on the first page of this thread, it has alot of info on it.
The idea with soy is it stops your body from noticing estrogen. When taken on a daily basis you will have a late O. When taken for 5 days you should trick your body into thinking that you need to O when you are done.
Soy really can make you have ALOT more CM then normal. I am not sure why but I think it is the high amounts of estrogen that your body has after you are done taking it.

Hmmm...thanks for your thoughts on the subject. I think I'll try it again next cycle too unless dr. puts me on clomid instead. DH and I have bd'ed 3 of the 4 days that I've had ewcm so if it happened we should catch the egg. I would have thought I was imagining things if it wasn't such a massive amt. of ewcm!

I just tried my first round of soy and I'm not noticing any unusual CM (I'm on cd 14), but I bd'd w/dh yesterday and was more wet than normal. I'm hoping I have beginner's luck with the soy!
I want to try soy, but I can't find information on when not to take it. I know you aren't supposed to take it with thyroid issues, but I don't have any issues there. Are there any other "issues" where you should avoid soy?
I just want a bfp already! LOL!

I have been thinking about trying soy. I have hypothryoidism. I was wondering why you are not suppose to take it with thyroid issues.
Thanks
