question on when to take bcp's

Hi, my dr. had me on prometrium for 7 days, AF started about 3 days ago. My dr. had told me to start my bcp' the first day of AF, but my car was not working so I did not get my prescription filled. Tonight I went and got it filled but now I don't know if I should start the pills tonight while I am still on AF, or should I wait until AF stops and then start the pills. i am just taking them to regulate AF, and the hormones. Does anyone know what I should do? I don't know if it matters when I start them. Thanks

It won't matter but you won't start again until you get to the end of your pack which will change your time of the month.

Thanks for the compliment on the kids, that red hair comes with plenty of attitude but we love it.

When I started my pills I tried to make it where I wouldn't be having a period around any holidays or special occassions.
