Default Question for Yasmin Users (Past/Present) - Rash?

Hi All

I have been on Yasmin for 2 months now. I started my third pack, and about 1 week into this third month I got a rash all over both arms. The rash is red and bumpy. It is not very itchy, just an occasionally itch. I am wondering if this could be due to the Yasmin.

Unfortunately, this BC has been one of the few I have taken that has not made me feel nutty. My skin looks nice (though dry) and my hair growth is very slow on my face, i.e., I have waxed only once in the past 2 months (I have yet to see a real change in my body/leg hair, but I do not remove it). I would really like to keep taking it. Anyway, I am wondering if this has happened to others and if it has...did the rash eventually go away with continued use of Yasmin? I am wondering if my body is still getting used to it and it is just freaking out a bit.

Any advice or experiences would be helpful. It could be something else, though I have not changed detergent, clothes, etc. And, it is only on my arms. Hmmm, weird.

Thanks!

I took Yasmin for about a year. I never had a problem with any rashes. When I started it, I was under the impression that it was going to really slow down my facial hair growth and acne. For me, it did not. I was really disappointed with that. I am soooo self conscious about my chin hair and I thought that was going to be my solution. I am glad to hear it is working for you.

I've been taking Yasmin for two years now and for a while there I was getting a rash all over my back. It would come and go but I haven't gotten it again in a long time.
