Hello everyone! I've been on Yaz for about 3 months now. Everything has been going fine until this past month. I had lots of brown bleeding (I had only a tiny bit of bright red blood during my period). Now, after I've stopped bleeding, my boobs are SUPER sore. Unlike anything I've ever experienced. Last night at the gym I couldn't do any cardio because they hurt so bad to move around in my sports bra. Has anyone else had this side effect before and it be so delayed?
Btw...there is no chance I could be pregnant

Symptoms: I get my period every month whether I am on BC or not. I do not have hair loss. Pretty much everything else I have. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 0 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
That sounds weird. I've not had any problem with my boobs hurting since I've been on Yasmin. I did have weirdly light periods for the first three months, then a massively heavy one in the fourth month, and now I'm back to being too light for my liking. I don't want to think my womb is storing it all up!
Did this improve for you? Did you change your BCP?
Cherry xx

I was only on Yaz for two weeks. Those were two weeks too many for me! I developed seriously sore breasts within two to three days of starting it. I've always had tenderness and slight swelling before my period, but this was beyond anything like that-- I think I went up an entire cup size. I have no idea about the periods, though-- sorry!
Yeah, my first "period" with Yaz I just had a huge chunk of something come out it was not like a clot. It freaked me out badly.
Now my periods are so light, I don't even need to wear a pad because nothing comes out. Its only when I wipe. CRAZY

I did not change my BCP and the soreness finally went away! YAY!

Be careful while taking Yaz. I've been on it for a little over a year now for PCOS, and from the start the only major side effect I experienced was daily nausea. However, 3 weeks ago, I started experiencing daily migraines, so bad to where I just lay around and sleep to make the pain go away. My Dr told me it was from stress. About a week ago, the ear pain started to set in. It feels like an ear infection, but it's not constant, like someone is stabbing something into your ears once or twice an hour. After doing alot of research, these symptoms are not uncommon, and if you begin to get these symptoms, stop taking Yaz immediately! The headaches can be a sign for a stroke in the future, and the ear pain is due to an imbalance in ear fluid (which is composed of sodium/potassium), especially since Yaz is a potassium-sparing diuretic ---this means essentially, that all the peeing we do while on it, while it spares potassium, creates the imbalance in fluid levels/electrolyte levels in our bodies.--- I have a phone consult with my Dr today and will be asked to change BCP's.
I never knew about all of the problems women are experiencing while on Yaz...not trying to scare anyone out of taking it, if it works fine for you that's great, but make sure you do your research on your BCP, especially Yaz! I read alot of women are trying to file a class action lawsuit against the makers right now, and I believe there was a federal consolidation hearing last month. Not sure how it turned out. We all know there's a risk for blood clots, heart attacks, etc, for those taking BCP's, but it's significantly higher for Yaz takers.

I've been on yaz since june. Had the boob soreness for the first month or so, but that went away. But now I'm having severe mood swings and depression and gum inflammation (similar to pregnancy gingivitis), so I definitely think one can have 'delayed' symptoms.
I'm not on Yaz anymore, but I took it for two years. It gave me crazy mood swings and horrible cramps (and I had never had cramps before). My cousin also go pregnant on it and while she was taking it correctly, she said her body was rejecting it. I had a few positives with Yaz: incredibly light periods that would last only 3 days and my acne went away completely, even around the time of my period. I don't remember too much about brown blood, though I do think it has something to do about how long it sits there and gets exposed to oxygen--like old blood that's been hanging around.
