My Mood: Points: 1,233.11 Bank: 135,256.89 Total Points: 136,490.00 | Questions Regarding Spironolactone for acne and hair issues, I just wanted to know what everyone elses expierence for this was. I have been on it before and saw no results for it what so ever. Then I had gone to a new Doctor and he said it was because I was not on a high enough dose. Then in order for him to prescribe it for me, I would have to go back on the yasmin, which I am. I go see this Doctor in December, but I also have my primary care check up today, I figured I could ask him about it instead of waiting another two months.
Also I have another question, and for all those who want to turn this into a racist thread, don't waste your time even reading it then, because it is not meant to be. But GOD FORBID you mention people of other races, you get attacked.
Anyways, I have a really good friend from India, that I work with, and he has recommended that I look into getting treatment, over in India, which umm is just a tade bit far from the states :p But he said basically, it's the Doctors ultimate goal there to be get you to be able to have a kid, because they hold kids so high. That they believe that a woman SHOULD have children. Told him I would think about it, but I wanted some imput regarding it first.
I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong area, but there were two questions, wasnt sure where to put it, and the What's on your mind forum gets alot more responsies sometimes.
Thanks to anyone taking the time to read this.

My Mood: Points: 3,777.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,777.07 | There are Drs in the US who help women have kids. My doctor here in ohio is awesome and has helped many women conceive and have healthy pregnancies. There is some truth in what you are saying...

So I have completely lost count on how many doctors I have seen in the past, and the bad part is, is that none of them out here seem to want to actually help, they care more about meaningless visits so that way they can make more moeny. As far as what it is hmm practiced I guess u can say in Inda, my friend had suggested it because he has seen me go through so much, and has seen me being pushed around from one doctor to another because none of them know what to do. He said I should just try that, If I am that dead set on eventually having a child, because if I went there I wouldn't be treated like I am here with wanting kids. I'm not sure quite how he explained it to me, but he said, he actually knows alot of people that has gone over to India for treatment, and then come back home here to the states. It was only a suggestion on his part, and I told him I would see what I could find out. I have been attemtping to look "outside" the box lately as to not get depressed as often. My friend has tried quite a bit to get me to look "outside" the box. I do give him big credit for that. So and he is just trying to give me ideas as to think "outside" the box ya know.

My Mood: Points: 3,777.07 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 3,777.07 | Yes I understand, if you want to have a baby, do what it takes. It is so hard to find a good doctor who is knowledgable in PCOS, that is the problem. Many have no idea of all aspects of this syndrome and blow women off. I know my Dr. works with Doctors all over the world. He just had someone from Saudia Arabia fly in for blood work and Diagnosis, and then he works with their Dr back home for treatment. I suggest looking him up and read what he has written about PCOS. He is the one who actually started using metformin for PCOS. His name is Dr. Charles Glueck, and he is at the jewish cholesterol Center in Cincinnati Ohio. Read what he is about, and maybe give his office a call, he is really awesome and has really helped me out, and helped other women conceive. By what I have read about him, he is THE Dr. in this country to go to. Hope you find answers you are looking for. www.health-alliance.com/glueck.html
