Questions about BCP Hi everyone,
I've been reading about YAZ and everything I've read about it seems to be convenient to me (I truly believe that I have PMDD before my period, not PMS). I've read it could reduce my facial hair growth, help treat my acne, protect against Ovarian cancer, etc. But I have a few concerns, what are the chances of me gaining weight on this? And if I do gain weight, what is recommended to lose the weight? I'm not exactly eating healthy or exercising like I should so if I do and start losing weight will that work against the BCP if it causes weight gain? I read that if you have High Cholesterol not to take YAZ or to speak with your Doctor about it first for a dose of something to regulate it. My good cholesterol was a tad bit low and my bad cholesterol was a bit high, but my Doctor said it wasn't serious and I was too young to go on medication. Is this risky?
Does anyone recommend any other types of BCP? I'm 18 and i'm not using the BCP to prevent pregnancy (I'm not sexually active), just curious about it if it can indeed help me in other ways.
