Default questions about Indole 3 Carbonal???

I just got done reading a post where someone talked about I3C.
Is it safe to take for those of us who are wanting kids in the next couple years before the eggs dry out? Does it only take care of facial hair? (I have to shave every day) Plus, I have a hairy body. Part of that is genetics..part PCOS. What about insurance coverage? Are there side affects? I thought I'd have to shave FOREVER!!! I also liked Mickey's comment that her skin tags fell off...No more freezing them off...yeah!! I can't wait to talk to my dr about it~! Yee HAW!!!

Hi,

I'm taking it. There are no side effects from what I studied about it. I take 400 units a day (don't remember if that is mg or mcg. But it is 2 pills.) My doctor said is it just fine as it is more or less just concentrated broccoli.

Look on the web and you will find scientific studies done on it at real universities, it regulates the bodies estrogen.... and it even seems to protect from certain types of cancer.

Like I said in my other post there are two types of I3C.. one made from flax seed... one made from Broccoli. I found that the one made from flax did nothing for me... took it for 2 months.

I started on the one from broccoli and in about 2 weeks I noticed the hair on my chin was growing slower... I would shave the hair in the morning and didn't have a 5 o-clock shadow at all.. I use to have to shave 2 times a day at least.

Several of my skin tags have falling off, I didn't even know when it happened, just seems like every few mornings I have a few less.

I was on the good one less than a month and had a normal period without any problems (first time in more than 8 years) and if I want, I can go a day or so without shaving, the hair is not growing that fast and it seems to be thinning. If I were blonde (I have dark hair) it probably wouldn't show much even after 2 days.

I feel better on it, over all. I would not give it up for the world. I don't know why more people don't know about it. It's great.

Only thing, if you are not thinking about getting preggers, you might want to consider watching for ovulation etc, I think it might work too good.... I think it has made me ovulate.

About insurance, unless you have one of those plans that covers over the counters and herbals, it probably is not covered. It's a herbal you get in herbal stores. I pay almost 40 dollars a month for it, but wouldn't trade it for the world.

Thanks Mickey. I have red hair but the facial hair is dark; almost brown. I do have to shave everyday and it totally sucks...makes you feel so un-feminine...especially when you're wanting to be romantic
I'm glad this drug is working for you. Is IC3 something that you take forever or just til the hair is gone?

Hi Mickey -- I'm brand new to SoulCysters, and am loving the stuff I'm learning here!

I was wondering if you knew if it's bad to mix IC3 with anything, like Vitex or Metformin, for example? I'm thinking of trying it if it's safe!

Thanks!
Kristene

Naw, it's like an herb. I got it off of the "i herb" website and it was bout $40. My understanding is that you want the broccoli version. Mine was called "Broccoliv" I think, something like that.

I just started taking it a few days ago, and while I'm waiting for long term effects that I'm hearing it can do for cysters, I am liking that it kind of regulates my digestive system. It seems to be a nice compliment to Metformin, as I seem to have to use the bathroom a lot taking it, and the Broccoliv has seemed to help regulate that. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the only thing that's different! I'd love to hear if you take it, if you see any improvements! This is completely experimental for me!

I just stopped by the herbal store yesterday and picked up Vitex and I3C. The herbalist recommended 3 Vitex in the morning...and I only 200mg of the I3C. Is this ok to do? 200mg 2/day...it just seems a natural fit to take it twice a day like metformin and my multi-vitamin I get from Curves.

The cashier mentioned making an appt with the herbal guy to make sure that there aren't any interactions and that I'm taking the right dosage of them. I was taking Chromium Picolinate as well but my skin tags seemed to grow by leaps and bounds so I stopped taking it.

Also I have been on bcp's for 10 years...about 18 months ago I switched to Seasonale. I'm switching back to Aleese. My body just never really adjusted to the 3 month pills. Plus now that I'm in a relationship it is easier to track ovulation so we don't get pg yet. And there is less break through bleeding. Yeah~

How did you all hear about I3C or Broccolive? I'm curious...

Happy TGIF~!
