Default Questions about light-colored facial hair

My facial hair grows in a very pale blond color. I get a lot of longer hairs on/under my chin (like 1/4 to 1/2 inch long), and I also get a little bit of a mustache. The hair is so light in color that I don't always see it when I look in the mirror, which makes it very hard to pluck.

So, if I don't see it, does that mean others don't see it either? I'd be less worried about plucking it if I knew no one else really noticed it.

Any ideas how to make plucking easier when I can't see the hair?
I suppose waxing would probably better than plucking because I don't necessarily have to see the hair in order to wax it off. But I'm reluctant to go that route because I have sensitive skin on my face and don't want to cause breakouts (have enough of those already!).

Any ideas? Anyone else have this problem?

if you can hardly see it, then i'm sure others cannot see it either unless they are extremely close to you and are staring. plus, i've been told by my electrologist that those hairs are normal.

Hi there....have you tried a light up magnified mirror? Sharper Image has one. Sharper Image also has machine that has tweezers all over that spin around and pulls your hair out really fast. I have one and like it, but don't use is often. It is called Emjoi or something like that. It will clean an area off pretty well, but it is fairly painful. It has less breakouts than waxing.

I have long light hair mixed with a few dark strays and get my whole face and chin and under my jaw line waxed. I pluck the few dark ones as they come in. I would rather have breakouts than a hairy face, but that's just me. Do what ever makes you feel better and more confident. How sad that we have to chose?

Hi,

I have the exact same problem, except there is too much light hair for me to try and pluck.

I pluck out the really long one's and wax the rest of it off!
