I have a few questions about NPC. I just started using this month after using Yasmin for 3 1/2 yrs since diagnosis. First of all, I have noticed that a lot of cysters are using the NPC 21 days on, 7 days off but according to Dr. Lee, it should be used from days 14-28 and then stopped so I can have a period. Am I doing it wrong or is it okay to do it either way? Another question is that how will it affect testosterone levels. Before starting the Yasmin, I had very high testosterone levels and I am wondering if those will creep back up without the estrogen that I was getting from BCP or will the NPC help keep those in check. I forgot to ask my dr this when we discussed me trying the NPC.

I'm not sure about the testosterone levels, but with the days you take it, Dr Lee recommends in many cases to take it for 21 day, 7 days off for the first 3 months of treatment, then to go onto days 14 - 28. This may cause some people to spontaeously ovulate on the fourth month.
