Hi! I have been searching for some info here on how to control excess facial hair and have found some things that I want to try. I saw something about using rosewater and hydrogen peroxide, but have no idea where to get the rose water at. Any ideas on that?
Also, I saw something about GLA being good for this as well. I found an oil at gnc.com that I was interested in trying. It is called Borage Oil and has 212 mg of GLA per capsule, but it has other acids that I don't know anything about. Also, my doctor said the last time that I had my blood tested that my cholestoral was high, will taking oils make it worse or better?
Should I ask my doctor before taking this? Or should I just mention that I want to try it? Unfortunately I don't have an appointment anytime soon so I would be talking to the nurse who would then ask my doctor.
Thanks so much, also if there is anything else that you know of that works for my problem, I would really appreciate it.
I don't know about the Borage Oil affecting your cholesterol, but taking Fish oil or Flax Seed Oil will provide you will Omega 3 Fatty acids (the good fats) and should actually help your cholesterol.
HTH.
Thank you both so much for the help. I think if I can use this to help with the hair growth, then I can stay off the BCP, which I would rather not take.
Just in case anyone was wondering, I did find some information on Borage Oil. Although it gives you more GLA per dosage than evening primrose oil, it has not been researched as much. I think, maybe, I will try the primrose oil first
