Question questions re: actos

Hi there-----I am currently taking glucophage, but i am seriously considering asking my doc about starting actos.....glucophage is helping me, but i find it harder and harder to put up with the stomach side effects............does actos have all of those side effects???????????i've heard that actos is expensive.......does anyone know what it costs?????????????
has anyone had success with actos as opposed to glucophage???????

thanks for your help

I can't speak for the cost, since I pay the same copay for both, but I have had NO side effects from actos so far (been on it almost 2 months for sure, probably 4 months but that was a study medication so I'm not positive it was actos). My sugar and insulin levels are NORMAL now (they were so high, my doctor who specializes in PCOS could barely believe it before). Of course, this is combined with diet and exercise, results may be different without it. Right now we're waiting to see if it will bring AF on. The doc says I should wait at least 3-4 months more for that before switching or adding something else to it.
