Default Questions for RE appt next week after MMC

I am 29 and was diagnosed w/ PCOS 10 years ago. I am quite familiar of many aspects of hormone treatments, dietary changes, etc. for a healthy lifestyle. I work very hard to maintain my health by running and eating well. Lately, I have been getting the whole "you don't look like a typical PCOS patient" comment from the OB. I have many other symptoms in lieu of weight gain. It has begun to affect the treatment I am receiving by OB doctors, so I obtained a referral for an RE. There is good reason as well.

I unexpectedly became pregnant after over 4 years of TTC. I had come off Metformin and Chlomid after series of failed cycles, and was in fact only taking vitamins. We had put TTC on the back burner due to my husband's impending deploment to Iraq. Our baby was a miracle for us. Unfortunately, I had a MMC in early Sept. and completed the m/c on Sept.8th. I was 12 weeks but the baby heartbeat stopped and so did it's growth, at only 9 weeks. I was devastated, and am now trying to heal emotionally. I have an appt w/ an RE next week and really need to know what to ask him in regards to the m/c and my future plans for TTC.
My frustration is immense. I had my lmc was on 5/20 and I did not come up w/ a BFP until Aug. I had no idea how far along I was because of my irregular cycles. I explained this to them, along with the fact that I had PCOS. They refused to see me for 3 1/2 weeks after I discovered I was pg, because I "did not look like the typical PCOS patient". They would not classify me as a high risk pregnancy until I was seen by the OB. My records stated clearly I have PCOS and my usual progesterone levels are extremely low. Do you see the problem here? My hands were tied. I went above them to Patient Advocacy Services to plead my case to them. They got me in to see a nurse, where I did get and ultrasound. I asked her about going back on Metformin for the duration of my 1st trimester. I have read the studies, they seem quite compelling, especially when you are talking about the life of your child and the chance of miscarrying. She consulted a doc in the hallway and came back a minute later and said "no." Hesitantly, I listened. Since they discovered the baby no longer had a hb during my 2nd u/s, no blood work was ever done. I have no records of any of my levels, which is terribly frustrating and upsetting.

Now I'm faced with going to an RE to try to get any possible answers and get my levels checked. Yet, through all that I know, I am sure there are questions I should be asking him that I am not aware of. I feel lost and alone. My husband is deployed so we are obviously not TTC but I need answers. I need to know where to go from here, and frankly, I just cannot trust the guidance of doctors right now.

Anyone, who has been in this situation and has had a follow up w/ an RE after a MMC, I would greatly appreciate any advice.

for the loss of your baby. i am in the same situation as you, i had a missed miscarriage in the beginning of october. i clicked on the thread looking for advice myself. i was seeing an re before my pregnancy and when i did get pregnant they watched me pretty closely for the first month, i went in for weekly ultrasounds and blood work. they had me on progesterone supplements for the first trimester. unfortunately there was nothing they could have done to save my baby. if you have problems with low progesterone maybe the re will be able to follow you better because of your issues with pcos. my first appointment with the re was pretty overwhelming they give you a lot of information. i would write everything down while you are there.
