I'm not handy in the kitchen AT ALL (in fact, I've NEVER turned my stove on - EVER). If it can't be made in a George Foreman appliance - I ain't eatin' it.
BUT, I was looking for an easy way to cook eggs (stove top was too much work, imo).
I was at Target and found a microwave omlette cooker for about $3. (It looks like the shape of an omlette...you just pour in your omlette mixture, close the top and microwave.)
Last night, and this morning, I tried it and it's GREAT for a quickie meal!
To further prove my laziness in the kitchen, I buy egg whites in the carton, pre chopped onions, and red/green peppers, and cheese...
Here's how I make my fritatta:
- In the omlette cooker, add diced onions, peppers, and cheese
- Pour eggs mixture over the ingredients
- close the lid of the cooker and microwave for 2:30
- Enjoy
I'm so excited, that I actually came up with something handy (and tasty). This would work well with leftovers, and can be adjust for just about any diet plan.

I hear ya! Our George Foreman grill is such a lifesaver!! When we moved to Alaska, we had to have some of our stuff shipped to us, and DH's parents didn't send our grill right away.....so we had to cook the "slow" way....we recommend them to EVERYONE! Such a time saver and gotta love that drip pan thingie!!
Very cool idea....will have to look into getting one of them gadgets!!

I think I might buy one of these!
I scrambled eggs in the microwave at work a while ago and they actually came out nice . I will mainly eat eggs on the weekends at home, and hot or cold cereal during the week at work. But now I may start eating eggs at work more often.

i am always scared of microwaving eggs. my laziness, and non-cook self wants to try it, but something about it grosses me out and makes me think it will taste gross, or have a weird texture, or not cook thouroughly....

I love scrambles though...
I dont mind cooking them. but... yeah. I guess I would *try* them...
after being in the hospital and them feeding me 'egg substitute' *GAG!*
I think I'd try eggs just about any way. :p
I bought one of these over the weekend...so easy! I bought the egg beaters...I didnt know they came in different flavors...I got Cheese and Chive and Southwestern flavors....Very good breakfast. 1 serving of the egg beaters is like 40 calories!

I've never tried any of the "egg-beaters" or "egg-in-a-carton" products before... On a scale of one to ten, Ten taste'n the best... What score would you give it? I've been skeptical for fear of taste...
Anyways... These sound yummy! I love eggs anyway... It would SURE beat a cereal bar ANY day!
Thanks ladies!!
