Anyway, I'm just wondering if I'm going to start getting the GI side effects, when can I expect them to start? I don't want to be caught out and have a bathroom emergency!

It helps so much if you avoid sugary stuff and the "bad" carbs. Whole grains are ok though. Good luck!

Good luck!

My Mood: Points: 11,531.29 Bank: 256,489.86 Total Points: 268,021.15 | Well, yesterday I took 500 mgs with my lunch and was fine all day. I was naughty and had some mini cream puffs for dessert at a girlfriends house, and I kept waking up through the night with bad abdominal cramps. I'm not sure if the dessert had anything to do with the cramps or not. I took some Aleve and they went away. I haven't really had any nausea or diarreah. I just took my 500 mg pill with my lunch a little bit ago. I'm hoping I'm in the clear... I am supposed to increase to 1000 mg next Wednesday, but wondering if I should take 750 for a couple days before I jump to 1000. What do you think?

well, I started with 500, and then after a week I went up to 1000. I find that I'm ok with the met - unless I eat something I shouldnt. Like creamy/ greasey/ fatty - then I got Metformin Revenge.
All the best with the met.,
