Just wondering.. i know i have read lots of regular symptons of type 2 diabetes..but what were the main ones for you?

I havent had my blood checked in a while , maybe 8months?

I dont think i have any major symtons , i suffer regular UTI's and some times im really thirsty but not all the time , were there any real symptons for you people who have it?

I didn't even know I was type 2 until after I had the gtt. But I do remember going to the bathroom all the time and being really really sleepy after eating a meal. Other than that, I really don't remember having any symptoms or I don't remember associating any symptoms with being type 2 until after I was dx. All I can remember is going to the doctor because i was completely exhausted ALL the time.

Married 20 yrs 2 kids: girl 19 yrs old and boy 17 yrs old.

Thanks for the reply , i dont think im always really really sleepy , but i can sleep upto 11 hours at night and still have a hour nap during the day !

I was thirsty all the time and had to pee a lot. I also lost a lot of weight without even trying and despite the fact that I was hungry most of them time.

I have an A1C done every 3 months at my doctor's office, but I check my own blood sugar three times a day.
