Quick question about Diabetes during Pregnancy

I was wondering what you have been told to make sure your blood remains at ( or lower ) at all times ?

I was type two before I got pregnant by several months.

My ob has looser limits than my endo does. My ob says under 140 1 to two hours post meal. The endo says 120 at the one hour mark. Fastings they both like to see under 90. I'm on insulin... diet just didn't cut it.

Some other things the diabetes has affected... I have had to go to get fetal echocardiograms monthly since 17 weeks. I've had to see a perinatologist because of the diabetes and my age. I've had appts every other week with the endocrinologist. I asked my dr's how that would be managed before all this happened. But they all told me it'd be like monthly visits. I don't know if it's because I'm having multiples, but I feel like I live there. At least one trip to the endo or my ob every week. Of course they can't co-ordinate my visits. I hope you have a better experience.

I am on insulin too. My diabetic nurse said I am extremely insulin resistant and diet alone doesn't work for me either. They have me test 1 hour after I eat. They like it to be 140 and lower. My fasting is supposed to be under 95. It differs from dr to dr. I know that hemogolobin A1C numbers keep changing too. The nurse said at the rate it's going we will all be considered Diabetic. But the ranges my medical provider goes by even differ from the ranges I have seen online. Ask your dr where they would like you to be.
