Slow waking mornings
cuddles to keep warm
small little sighs
and sweet little thumbs
watching you slumber
I smile to myself
emotions overflow
remembering how I felt
not knowing if the day would ever come
sleeping next to a child who'd call me "mum"
Praying to GOD to be the mother you need
you stir and then grin
opening your bright eyes of perfect blue
GOD watching me look at the gift he has given
my own eyes looking back at me

I wrote this after watching my baby girl lay so peaceful next me just waiting for her to wake . Thinking those 7 long years I waited for her to come into my life from God were all erased by his wonderful grace of his gift to me . They seem but a blur compared to hold they used to have on my life . It is all worth it even when it seems like it takes all your have to do the meds , temps , and even just to pray .....it is all worth it because it made me the mom I am to her today .

Awww, this poem is one of the cutest things I've ever read! I can't wait until Im ready to have a child! I may act like I dont like children but I want a little girl so badly someday. I want that special bond between mother and daughter, like the one you and you're daughter seem to have, the one my mom and I have. Good job, very sweet!
