I was on Nuvaring, and during the fourth month, I got sick of the mood swings (rages, really) and plucked it out and threw it out. I got a normal AF several days later. Now it's been 28 days and no AF again. Can it take a while to get AF after coming off bcp?? I have never had a cycle more than 28 days ever in my life, except 1) once when 12 (2) had DD (3) chemical pg in college. I also have a respiratory illness I can't shake and yeast AGAIN.
Is this just from coming off the stupid Ring, or should I do a POAS? I have been using condomns since last AF ended, but???

I know it can take a couple of months after bcp's for AF to be regular again. I would still POAS just in case, but if you are using condoms, it is probably just your body's reaction to coming off the nuvaring.

i agree i have been off of it for a month now also and i spoted for about 30 seconds and nothing since. so it has been i think 3 months since i have had a good AF. Wish you luck!

It once took me about five days after taking my last active pill for my period to actually get to me. It was a scary time since the last thing I need to be right now is pregnant, but it happens, I guess. Just a little tardiness.
Oh haha. I misunderstood the question, didn't I? I think I went a couple of months after quitting the pill once before it came again on its own. But before I was on the pill I went a couple of years without a period. Yep.
I was on Depo Provera (the 3 month shot) and my last shot ended on Dec 25, I have had no bleeding..which I DON'T miss..lol, but I have an odorless discharge..gyno says it's normal, but I have to wear a pantyliner all the time..I just want to sew myself up so nothing else can come out..lol..

My prescription for nuvaring ran out in Sept I got AF at the end of that cycle. I didn't go get another script and I still haven't gotten AF. About a month after my last period I had a TON of pregnancy symptoms, and went and POAS, but was neg....and still no AF. I don't mind not getting AF and don't mind not being on bcp, but my hair growth has gotten alot darker in color and heavier...

Thanks, gals. I was worrying for nothing. AF showed up in full force yesterday (after negative POAS anyway). I could've saved my cash. I wonder if my AF will go back to being 28-30 days all by itself! Maybe I am ovulating again! That would be exciting--my cycles were very short and anovulatory without drugs. Nuvaring was first thing I tried after DD birth and almost a year of BF w/ condomns.
But I am willing to have one more go, I am going to try the minipill cerazette and see how things go...failing that it's back to copper IUD and just wild AF. Although maybe she's straightening out finally!
