Hi there!
I am moving to Raleigh in November. Could someone recommend a good doctor there? I really appreciate it.
Thank you, Jen

Jen, I live about 20 minutes from Raleigh (Clayton). I go to a dr who is also my obgyn. I was one of the few lucky women who was diagnosed with PCOS on my first visit with him. I went into his office and basically gave him the larger symptoms I was experiencing: periods, weight gain, hair growth and by the end of the session he was telling me other symptoms that I didn't even think were a big deal that were related. His name is Dr Michael Capps and he is a doctor at Clayton Medical Associates. 919 553 3900. He takes all different insurances and most of the times its very easy to get an appt. Hope this helps!

WOW! Im looking for a doc myself and I'm from Raleigh. However, I live out in the sticks now. Do you know of a free clinic in the area? I dont have insurance and am FT college student. Just went back to college after 8 years! Yeah...only thing thats actually going well in my life right now. Gives me just a pinch of self-esteem.

Leo- the only free clinic that I know of in the Raleigh area is the "Open Door Clinic" 919-832-0820. I don't really know alot about it though. Have you tried talking to Social Services at all? I know that you may be able to get some assistance from them as far as Medicaid? Of course, if you are just looking for a "woman" dr you could most likely speak to a Planned Parenthood and they may be able to give you some helpful information. The one if Raleigh's phone number is: 1-800-230-PLAN and its located on S. Boylan Ave. What city do you live in BTW?
