Unhappy Rash

I have developed a hives/rash on my face, arms and legs. I have had it for four days and it itches quite a bit. I went to the doctor, because of a sore throat and ear ache that started yesterday and I showed him the rash. He took blood work. I won't know the results until Monday. He prescribed me an antibiotic, Allegra D and some fungal cream. I don't think it's fungal! I haven't changed my diet or detergent. I did however, stop taking Metformin, because I was feeling bad. I am also taking blood pressure medication. I have also lost 25 pounds in the last 45 days. I am very happy about that, because I am not too overweight. I had just gained weight in the last year and needed to lose it, so my husband and I went on the Atkins diet.

Anyhow, I don't know what to do about this rash. It's driving me crazy!!!! It's on my FACE! I have always had a smooth face and have been complimented on my beautiful complexion, hundreds of times. Now this! I have such a busy day at work Monday. I have a list of appointments with clients and I am embarrassed! Has this happened to anyone? Please help me!

What does it look like? Is it scaly or is there blisters? Is your skin really dry? Try looking on the web....http://www.medicinenet.com/rash/article.htm

Also, go to the store and pick up Aveeno Maximum Strength Anti-Itch Cream 1% Hydrocortisone. This stuff has saved my life so many times its not even funny! I am like you, my skin is flawless on my face but some crazy waxing lady waxed my lips and it made it so red and itchy. Not so bad but I was meeting my BF for the first time the next day!! Aveeno seems to be very gentle on the face.

I hope you feel better soon, really try the cream it works! I hope there is a diagnosed soon! It seems to me though its an allergic reaction to something....
