Default Rash? (Not pcos related)

At least I don't think it's PCOS related.

Saturday I woke up and noticed my back, hip area, was sort of poofy. Sunday when I woke up I had a red rash there. My husband thinks it looks like a bug got stuck in my waistband and bit me a TON of times. Now, it just sort of is a bunch of lumps with no clear areas. It's small though (maybe the size of a half dollar). it does NOT itch at all! Which is really weird. I'm very sensative to bug bites and usually itch insanely for days. I'm on flonase, every night, but I'm not sure that would be enough to stop itching like that.

I'm worried it might be shingles It's small though, doesn't itch, theres no pus, and I'm just under the impression I'm too young for that

Has anyone had anything like this?? I do have ezema on my hands but have NEVER had it look like this.

The only other thing I can think of is I've been going to physical therapy and laying on the tables there (Which I'm sure they dont clean between patients). Could I have caught a fungus ug.

Your husband doesn't have any similar bites? It sounds like you got bit and if your DH had some, I would be concerned about bug bites.
If it doesn't clear up in a few days, I would get it checked out!

No my husband is fine. The only other thing I forgot to mention was that it hurts.

Like Saturday when it was just kinda puffy I pushed in the area and it was tender. That whole side of my hip is tender but I assumed it's been from the physical therapy (I have bursitus in my knee).

And now, today, it just hurts.

Don't know what the rash could be, but my brother got shingles at age 27, so age isn't necessarily a factor in shingles.

My mom just stopped by and looked at it and is convinced it's shingles (She gets them). I made a doctor appt for tmrw at 1:15 so I guess I'll find out!!

GAWD What a stigma I'll have to live down. My sister walked out of the office going "see ya herpes girl"

Let us know how it turns out. It definitely seems like you should get it checked out! Good choice!

On a side note, you should ask them to clean the table before you get on it! They should be doing it anyway...it's mandatory!

I had shingles when I was in the first grade...so yes, age is definitely not a factor haha. Hope you get an answer soon.

Well it's shingles. She said no doubt about it. She said 50% of the time you can pinpoint why your getting them (stress or whatnot) but the other 50% you just get them for no reason. The telltale sign is that it hurts, and the nerve that my rash is on runs down to my groin (which it hurts down into that area).

I've gone too many days for medicine to do anything (you need it within 48 hours of an outbreak). She said just to let it go on it's own and that in 2 to 3 weeks it should be better. It'll either just shrivel up and go away or get all blistery and drain and then crust over and go away. She said I need to stay away from pregnant women, babies under 1, people who haven't had chicken pox and people with low immune systems.

And if it gets to painful she'll write me a prescription.

Lucky me I feel like I'm fallin apart somedays.
