Points: 294.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 294.00 | I have an excess sweating problem that I finally went to a dermatologist about. He gave me a pill that I take that I'm still not totally convinced is working 100% of the time, but I take it still. He also prescribed a lotion that comes in a tiny bottle it's called DrySol. It's basically a really super strong antiperspirant without the deodorant part. It's so strong, that you use an applicator to put it on, apply at the end of the day after a shower to dry skin when you won't be sweating for several hours, like right before bed, do that 2 days in a row, then you just use it once a week! I use it under my breasts, on my feet, and around my hairline. It really works! I mention it here because it might be a good preventative. I too have used the gold bond and other antifungal powders, but I haven't had to worry about it since using the DrySol. It's not over the counter, and my Walgreens pharmacy had to order it. |

in S.A. we have a thing called germoline. i do not know if it available outside of SA, but if you can get your hands on it.....stock up. it helps for many skin probs. including "zits" , rashes, cuts, insect bites..etc. it dries out and do not leave scars or marks. ointment. other options would be any baby product designed for rashes. it truly works.

So since I have eczema on my hands, I have everything from Elidel to steroids...I have tried creams/oinments/baby powder in the past. Only problem with baby powder mixed with a cream or ointment is once you sweat, it's almost like dough under there. If you can't get it to clear up with OTC items, see a dermatologist. HTH! |

Also on days when I know I'll be out in the heat for a long time I use a bit of Aveeno diaper rash cream. It protects my skin from the moisture so that the rash doesn't get started. |

It hardly ever itches, etc. It's just annoying to have so many blackheads under. I think I am on track with those the weight though in order to really solve this problem.

Go to your pcp, have it documented and take pictures, then he will prescribe a cream and it probably will still happen again.
I had a reduction. My back and neck hurt all the time. I was having steroid injections in my shoulders due to pain... The reduction helped me a lot.

I had a reduction. My back and neck hurt all the time. I was having steroid injections in my shoulders due to pain... The reduction helped me a lot. |
I did the exact same thing! I had the worst headache, neck and back pain and the horribly itchy underneath fungal rash and infections. With the help of my pcp and an orthopedic specialist, I had my reduction covered by insurance. I am so sorry that I didn't do it sooner.
Now I don't recommend a reduction easily. I was not sure I wanted to do it but then I grew more uncomfortable and frustrated over the last few years. I had 4 1/2 pounds removed during a 5 hour surgery, coming up on one year ago. It was the best thing I have ever done!! I have gone from a DDD+ to a large B/small C. Now I need a hip, stomach and love handle reduction............
My PCP prescribed anti-fungal products and it helped quite a bit, but the rash always came back, particularly in the summer. It was awful! You may also want to try the anti friction cream by Monistat. It was like a powder in gel form. I don't know if they still make it or not as I haven't used in in a while but that was helpful, too! Good luck! |
