Question Razor Burn

Anyone else have razor burn? I have a terrible patch of it on my neck and it looks awful! It's very red and I have been covering it with foundation, but I think it looks terrible anyway. I am probably just being paranoid. Any ideas?

I used to get terrible razor burn on my legs until I started using an exfoliating mitt... you can get them almost anywhere: Target, The Body Shop, etc.... I let my legs soak for about ten mins in a warm bath or shower to soften up the hair, then exfoliate with the mitt very well (doesn't hurt, don't worry!) and the results are MUCH better!!

I have had the same problem for years until recently when someone posted that they use Nivea creme after they shave, I tried it and it works great for me. I shave my neck and chin daily and haven't had any problems. I use Bic Soleil razors or Mack 3 and Paul Mitchell conditioner to shave, then I use Clinique toner (I have ance) and then I put on the creme, I also exfoliate everyday with a BuffPuff. Hope this helps.

i get HORRIBLE razor burn. If all i have to shave with is shaving cream, and i ABSOLUTELY have to shave my legs, then i let my legs soak in warm water for about 5 minutes, lather really well with shaving cream (sensitive skin) and then shave, and then do another light coat of shaving cream, or conditioner. Most of the time in the winter I use baby oil after shaving. I have found this awesome product called Coochy, it's a rash free shave cream. It's made to be able to be used all over your body and can even be used as conditioner on your hair. That's pretty much the only thing i can use "downstairs" and not get razor burn. Unfortunately it's only available at "adult" stores and through Pure Romance, so it's a special trip when I need to get it, but it's amazing. highly recommend the Pearberry scent though, the original scent smells like grandma to me for some reason lol.

I love the product Tend Skin. It was recommended on this board a few years ago. It is a little pricey but lasts a long time. I use it on my chin, stomach, bikini area, and thighs. I typically use it immediately after shaving and two days following. You can purchase it from eBay or there are several online stores that carry it.
