*Hi* I am New Here I Am In My 30's And I Have Been Hypothyrid Since The Age Of 19 . I weigh Almost 300 pounds It Has Been Very Difficult to lose Weight I take 175 mcg Of Synthroid daily. What I was wondering Is if anyone Knows Of Some Safe supplements I Can Take Or A Diet That Would Help Me. I really want To Lose weight. I am Also A Borderline Diabetic. Thanks! *Jen*

Have you ever been on Glucophage??? It is supposed to help stabilize insulin/glucose levels in women with PCOS and prevent diabetes.

Had hysterectomy with ovaries removed Feb. 6, 2006 because of severe mood problems suffered for 15 years from PCOS. I'm 27 & was in law school until last December. Elizabeth Vliet is my doctor; get her books for great info on PCOS and effects of hormones on the whole body, including moods.

HI I know how you feel !! I was diagnosed a few months ago with thyroid cancer and after surgery to have my thyroid removed they have had me hypo ever since. I am on levoxyl and metformin, i also have been doing weight watchers to lose the weight. i was up to 324 in october and i am now at 275 so it is possiable. i also take a multi vitamin and chromium picolinate supplement.

I too am hypothyroid. I was recently put on 300 mcg of Synthroid. Grrr! I can't wait to see if getting back on the Synthroid will help me lose some weight. Don't give up. You have a great support here. :O)
