Is anyone else dealing with PCOS in the KC area? I do not have health insurance. I would like to see an RE if possible. Or just an endocrinologist. If anything, I could see a regular ob-gyn who supports women when PCOS. I have not been officially dxed. I am not wanting to obtain pregnancy right now because of what I've read about fertility drugs related to cancer occurrence. I am more concerned with maintaining good health. I am researching this website for ideas of herbs/vitamins/diet changes that I can try. My hubby is great about it all and is very loving. He is okay with all my PCOS symptoms. I, however,...that's another story. I have facial hair (chin, sideburns) and body hair (happy trail) that REALLY is starting to bother me. It's occurring more frequently than it was last year. Also, I'm starting to lose a lot of hair on the crown of my head. I've started to just wear my hair down to hide it. I want to regrow that area. I've been so busy as a student that it's hard to remember or have time to research on here. I just want to start dealing with it finally.
If anyone in the KC area would like to recommend a good doc, email me at:
