I just wanted to let anyone in the Knoxville, TN area who is looking for a FABULOUS RE who is amazing with PCOS patients know that they should call Dr. Gayla Harris. She is the kindest and most compassionate doctor I have ever seen.

She looks at the whole process as "fine-tuning" and she explains every step in just the right amount of detail. Not once did she make me feel like my PCOS was my fault or that I was just another overweight girl wanting a baby.

I'm only on my first cycle with her but I have several friends who have had FAST success with her. She has a private practice so it can take some time to get an appointment but she is worth the wait!

I so wish I had known/read about her earlier! My endocrinologist (plain, not reproductive-variety) told me there weren't any female RE's in Knoxville (in her defense, my insurance website search said the same thing), and my GYN (Emily Evitt, whom I adore even if I do have to sit a crazy long time in her waiting room past my scheduled appointment time with magazine from--NO LIE--2005) referred me to Dr. Keenan, with the warning that most RE's in our area are not of the warm and fuzzy persuasion when it comes to bedside manner. And, yes, Dr. Keenan so far has been just fine if not warm and fuzzy, but I would have so much rather had a female RE. Perhaps if we don't see results with Dr. K and I'm just not feelin' it, I'll give Dr. Harris a call.
