Question Re: No "O" but Spotting?

Hi all!
Ok, I am on CD58 and still waiting for O and AF. My questions is this - last Wed - Fri I had some spotting. Why? I have heard that spotting can sometimes be a sign of O coming and it is usually more common in long cycles (which I have). The spotting stopped and have not had an increase in temps yet. Here's my chart:

I did have a spike in temp on Sat morning but then it dropped drastically Sun morning. I guess my question is can I still expect O to happen due to the spotting or is it too late to expect that? What else could cause the spotting if not due to O? I am taking NPC along with some herbs - just started taking FB - hoping for the best. Thanks for any info.

Hi Crystal,

I think you could still O, but I wouldn't count on it. I had spotting like that my first annovulatory cycle after 5 normal ones after going off BCP. I too thought it was a sign that O was coming, but it never did. I think it was just my body TRYING to O but not quite making it. Hope in your case you actually do O! Good luck!

Hi californiasun!
Thanks for replying. Well, my temps went up and according to FF I have O'd! Whoohoo! Look at my chart again and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Thumbs up

that's a pretty big spike on sat. You might want to go in and "disgard" that one. As long as the stay high, you o'd. Congrats!

Hi Paigette
Yeah, I had a couple of drinks on Friday night so I'm sure the spike on Sat morning was from that. I had a dip on Sunday and they've gone up since then. This is just the first indication of O for me so, I'm really excited!! Thanks!
